Grief is a natural process that develops after the loss of a loved one. This process has stages. The relationship a person develops with his loved one and the nature of death can change the effect and process. Symptoms such as anger, depressive symptoms, rage, denial of death, somatic symptoms, pessimism, helplessness, inability to accept, questions, inability to focus, and avoidance can be seen. If this process extends to general life and over a long period of time, and if functionality decreases, counseling assistance should be sought.
