‘ Life is a journey, choose the window seat and not the side that reflects your tired face on the glass. Choose which path to take and don’t think about how many times you’ve stumbled. Focus on what you have achieved, not how tired you are. Life is not black an white, see the gray to accept yourself. Choose to be steadfast and not strong. Strive for balance, not happiness, what we call happiness is ephemeral, balance and stability are essential. Life is hard and exhausting enough, love yourself the most.’
I was born in Usak in 1975 and graduated from the Medical Faculty of Marmara University in 1999. I worked in the air ambulance and as a flight doctor in the Turkish Air Force, which I joined in 2001. In 2004 I specialized in psychiatry at the Gülhane Military Medical Academy, to which the Haydarpasa Clinic reports. During my work in military facilities, I have followed up many cases of post-traumatic stress disorder. I left the Turkish Air Force with the rank of a major in 2014 and continued my career as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist in the private sector. ‘Schema therapy’, Cognitive behavior therapy ’and EMDR’ are the therapy methods that I use throughout my training. Because of the EMDR training courses in which I took part, I received the title ‘EMDR Therapist’. Since the beginning of my professional life, the EMDR therapies that have already been used have lasted up to over 15,000 hours.
For other therapy methods for which I have certificates, my experience as a therapist is more than 15,000 hours. I continue my services in my own practice with the team I set up. I have used EMDR therapy in many cases.
